The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) has approved four development projects at an estimated cost of Tk 2,459.15 crore.
The projects were approved at the ECNEC meeting held at the NEC room within the capital’s Sher-e-Bangla Nagar on Tuesday (November 3) morning. ECNEC President Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina virtually attended the meeting. Of the approved projects, two are new and two are first revised.
The project are going to be funded by the govt at a price of Tk 1,79.31 crore, the corporate will get its own funding of Tk 162.16 crore and a loan of Tk 606.70 crore from foreign sources.
Planning Secretary Mohammad gave details about the approved project at the top of the meeting. Asadul Islam. At the time, he said, the Prime Minister had instructed to be vigilant so as to not obstruct the flow of the river so as to stop erosion. He also directed to require permanent measures with caution in dredging.
At the ECNEC meeting, the Prime Minister directed to form masks mandatory in the least levels to stop the second stage of corona infection.
From the erosion of the proper bank of the river Jamuna, the value of conservation project in Singrabari, Patagram and Baukhola areas under Kazipur upazila of Sirajganj district has been estimated at Tk 560.06 crore. the govt can pay the whole cost of this project under the Ministry of Water Resources. this is often a replacement project.
The cost of fixing a dry processing industry in Cox’s Bazar district has been estimated at Tk 198.69 crore. the entire will come from government funding. This project is additionally new under the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock.
The project of upgrading Panchdona-Danga-Ghorashal district highway to 4 lanes with separate service lanes on each side are going to be implemented at a price of Tk 551.51 crore. the primary amendment of the project has been approved under the Ministry of Road Transport. this may be through with full government money.
The Aminbazar-Mawa-Mongla 400 KV cable project has been estimated to cost Tk 1,148.06 crore. this is often the primary amendment project.
